I picked up my new MK IV Hunter. My lgs hod one but sold it before I could get it. The buyer failed the background check for some reason so the sale was canceled and I was able to get it.
I noticed that there was some small horizontal movement between the receiver and the lower frame on my Hunter. Not much but it annoyed me. I looked around and I found this thread over on RimfireCentral.com. The posting was started by barney4174. The cause of the movement in his and in my MK IV was that the two dog ears on the bolt stop were a little high and that prevented the latch from pulling down the receiver far enough to lock in place with no movement. Removing just 0.010" from both the front and rear dog ear allowed the latch to fully seat the receiver with no movement at all.
