Swap Ruger SR22 grip

Just got mama a Ruger SR22. She is enrolled in a class Feb 25 to obtain her CWP here in Va.

She has small hands and wanted the smaller grip. I googled changing Ruger SR22 grip and got exactly what I needed. The OP was Noah Zark on this forum from 2011.

His original post:
Changing Grip Sleeves on Your SR22? Drop the Screwdriver and Pick Up a Hair Dryer

I used a heat gun and it worked just as explained. Once the grip is removed you can see small dimples in the gun and detents inside the grip. Two on each side 1 at top and 1 at bottom.

Simple enough. Thank you, Noah.

Swap Ruger SR22 grip

I wish they offered that grey color when I bought my wife's 22. Very neat look! It's a great little fun, we shoot it a lot

Thanks for sharing. I bought a very early SR22 also before they came out with threaded barrels and colors. My loss, but I have had fun shooting it.

Wife just got the same gun!

My wife just got the same gun. Same issue with changing grips. Thanks for the heat tip. Love the front fiber optic sight on this model!

I have the same pistol and absolutely love it! I don't know if I've put too many rounds thru it or what, but I had to send it to Ruger today for repair. I've probably put between 6000-8000 rounds thru it since late 2013 so my husband thinks I've worn something out.
* Since you can't get your wife grey grips, have you considered getting Hogue grips (covers) or some other type of rubber grip cover? They feel really nice, absorb recoil, etc and have several colors. Just a thought, enjoy...
