Ok, I have a3 year old 22/45 mk3 target. minor mods, like mag disconnect bushing. I have shot maybe 5000 rounds out of it. 3 mags still work fine, one mag. does not activate last shot hold open, but only from a full mag. If it is half empty (like 5 or 6 shots when inserted), it works as expected. I brought them home after the range stripped them and did a thorough cleaning. So, next week, I will find out if that fixed it. Any other ideas on what might be wrong if this doesn't fix it.

never heard of that.
too soon to need replacement parts in the gun itself.
when i have a mag problem i like to take it apart n sand anything that's
rough.
also, check the ears. they aren't always right.

I have a MKII magazine that will hold the bolt open on the last round for every pistol I've tried it on except for the pistol it came with??????

Followup: went to the range with the browning hyper velocity that the issue occured with. Keep in mind this only occurs with one mag that is original to the pistol. So, after an exceptional cleaning , i shot the three "good mags", again no problem. then, the bad mag, same issue. tried loading only a few rounds, hold open last shot works. Then I tried Norma tac-22 loaded mag full, no problem. tried browning again, same problem. Moral of story, I will now use the browning only in my 10/22. I just wonder if the brownings are somehow out of specification either in diameter or length, it is the only thing that makes any sense. Thanks for listening and helping. Life is good.
