Ruger MKIII magazine safety disconnect removal ?

I just put a new volquartsen acurizing kit (trigger, sear, hammer, spings, plunger, etc.) in my MKIII and would now like to get rid of that pesky magazine disconnect. I have read a couple of different things. 1. being to replace a bushing with the one from a MKII and 2. to simply remove the disconnect bar and spring then re-assemble (replacing nothing). Does anyone have any information on which way is "correct" or what the "correct" way of removing it is?
Thanks,
BT

btolliverjr, The easiest way is to remove the magazine disconnect and spring then install a MK II hammer and hammer bushing, but since you just replaced them ... go for option 2. You can't just take the MK III parts out because the hammer will not be held in position. Option 2 is to replace the disconnect and spring with a spacer .1" thick, the same hole diameter as the hammer pivot pin, and with a shaped OD where the spacer doesn't interfere with the sear. I did this with my KMKIII-512 so the magazine will drop free when I push the release button.

See http://www.guntalk-online.com/forum/...onnect+removal

Or use a Clark MKII bushing with a shallow spacer washer.
