Failure to Load SR9c

Looking for some suggestions. I have tried to research the issue but have not found exactly what I experienced. I bought a new SR9c on Friday, cleaned it Friday night and went to shoot on Saturday. It performed great for just over 100 rounds but then started failing to load almost every round. It would fire, but the slide would lock open at the slide stop. The next round would not move out of the magazine (in essence the gun "thought" it was empty as no round fed out of the magazine). I move the slide forward and it fires, but locks open again.

I took it apart for cleaning afterwards and it looked like the spring assembly (guide rod assembly) was slightly askew, but I am not sure if this occurred during disassembly.

Any thoughts on cause and solution?
Thanks

Sounds to me like you have the dreaded slide lock spring issue. Check this out:

The only real fix for this is call Ruger CS and they will have you ship the gun back to fix the slide lock spring. This issue started showing up in SR9/40c made in the fall of 2013. Most from before that do not experience this. I thought most made since December have been better.

sorry to hear of the problem with your SR9c. Ugh. having to send a new gun back is frustrating, but Ruger will make it right. Good luck.

Had same issue, mailed mine back to Ruger and they had it back to me in 5 days and have had no more issues with it since.
