New SR9c!!!!

Went to the range today with the intentions to shoot my new SKS. Well long story short, the "Golden Tiger" 7.62x39 ammo I had with me which is clearly labeled "Lead Core" was determined by the shop owner and my aquaintance to be steel core. They stuck to a magnet. And when he tried to cut into one with a hefty pair of snips he couldnt. I didnt argue as I respect him very much. Any who luckily I had brought my Sr1911 and p95 to keep me entertained. So while we were in the range shooting, my father went back out to the shop for a while. I didnt think much of it as his back gives him issues from time to time.

Well when he came back he told me the guy who owns and runs the range (Charlie) wanted to talk to me. Turns out my dad had just purchased the SR9c I had been telling him I wanted ever since he kind of "requisitioned" my P-95 from me. I had been saving up but decided to get the SKS instead. I know one thing I am blessed to have the caring parents I do. So I showed charlie my CWP filled out the paper work he called and did the background check. He even let me clean her up a bit and run some patches down the bore before I shot it.

The thing shot awesome!!!!! I love the P95 but this thing had less recoil than it. All in all I am happy happy happy, in the immortal words of Phil Robertson. Anyways I have a night of cleaning and leaning in store.
Here are some pics!

Congratulations on your new SR9c. Mine has been my favorite pistol since I bought it a year and a half ago. A dream to shoot. I especially like the 9c in black.

Terrific choice - congrats!

If you haven't, I'd suggest that you tear it down far enough to clean the striker channel. Some have lots of gunk in them from the factory. Mine sure did!

Enjoy!!!

I've had mine a couple of years. Cleaned it really well. Lots of gunk. I ordered a Crimson Trace laser and recently bought a holster that fits the pistol from, N82 tactical. Very nice and comfortable.

Congratulations on your SR9c. Love shooting mine. Only down side is the poor weather lately. I shoot at an outdoor range. I've fed it several brands of ammo and never a hiccup over my first 500 rounds. Shoot it often and safely.

Congratulations on the new SR9c! It's a great shooting pistol. Like has already been mentioned, make sure you clean out the striker channel. Ruger likes to pack a lot of grease in there.
