SR 1911 CMD Price

Attended another gun show today. Really want a SR 1911 CMD. Saw a few, all were $699. $699 is before tax and $10 fee for background check. A few dealers had the reg SR 1911 for $679 but I want the CMD. Looking at maybe going the Gunbroker route for the 1911 CMD. What's a fair price for a new 1911 CMD? Another gun show next month and want to make a fair offer if I find one.

Thanks!

Good deal around here (Charlotte, NC) is $650 before tax. From what I have read $699 is about average around the country.

I lucked up and bought mine NIB from the first owner that needed money. Got it for $600 OTD. They are still pretty sought after and a little hard to find. This is why they are bringing $25 to $50 more that the std. size in most areas.

I paid $679 around a month ago here in north GA. I've seen them from $629-800. They're pretty hard to find around here. I love mine!

Just looked at Gunwatcher.com, it shows one for $635 +$20 shipping on gunsamerica.com. Went to the link, looks legit.

IMHO, after you pay for shipping and receiving fees, it will probably COST you more money to go the GunBroker way.

Might try to find one locally that you can inspect before you buy.....Caveat Emptor!

I wish I was by a Sportsman's warehouse. Their Black Friday deal is both models SR1911 for $599 each!

Thanks everyone! There is a SW in Chattanooga, about 1.5hrs from here. Might be worth the drive for $599!

I've been seeing them for $629 at the local gun shows. Price seem to be dropping from 2 or 3 months ago. Lots of them for sale too.

Up here a store (I will keep unmentioned) had an ad in last Sundays paper. $499 for the SR1911 CMD. Usually $729. I was at the door when they opened. They honored it for me but made a correction notice while I was doing the paperwork and put it out.

My budget only allowed one. It wouldn't have allowed any at the $700 sale price it was supposed to be. Not to mention, I am sure they would have only allowed one.
