Those are both great ideas. How about a GP100 or SP101 in 9mm?

LeadSlanger, never thought about that early Ruger, Luger look alike in that sense...with a 4" bbl. & 9mm Luger caliber, I'd be in the market for one. In SS, it would make a great camp or fishing tackle box gun.

I owned one of the early .22 lr in the late 60's. Shot it a lot, but it had a lousy trigger. Have they improved that over the years? I've not shot one since 1969! Mine was $37.50 (still have the receipt in my files), and I gave it to one of my cousins, who kept my guns cleaned and oiled while I was in Vietnam. He sold it off to buy a woodchuck rifle...wish I had it back, just for nostalgia purposes.

Best Regards, Rod

Just thought of another...How 'bout an aluminum framed SR1911 CMD in .45 ACP. The lighter weight would make it just about the perfect carry piece for those who prefer the 1911 format, with a full house .45 slug up the bore, but in a less belt sagging weight. If you've followed my thread on my new CMD, you know I love the gun, but a Lt. Wt. version would put me back in the market again. They're addictive! It'd look like this and maybe one in .38 Super would be nice too!

Best Regards, Rod

The new Ruger SR1911 with a .38 Super slide and barrel installed.

Ooh, an SR 22 mag would be really nice. Maybe once they get that one done they could change the barrel and do an SR 17 HMR.

A blued SR1911 and SR1911 CMD.

And I think a 9mm Standard would be pretty cool. Heck, so would a 45, as long as we're dreaming. I'm guessing there's not enough mass in the bolt for this to work. Anyone know for sure?
