Check out Cerakote. I've had one of my guns Cerakoted and will be having another one coated very soon. You can get just about any color you want and it's a much better and tougher coating than Duracoat or bluing. I couldn't be happier with it.

I know I paid 200 bucks more than their price, but after shipping and FFL fee's and tax would have actually been only another 100 more if I went that route.
Hoffman's Gun Center in Newington Ct. has "a few" in their back room. I guess 3-4 units. I bought one today. Their number is on the internet.
The counter guy said they were not shipping out of state, but what the hey, I'd give them a call and try, if you can't find one elsewhere it's worth the nickle.

I paid $689.00 +tax today

Other than Nutnfancy, I haven't heard anything but good reviews on them. A big plus for me is that they come with a match barrel. While I don't like the looks of the external extractor, I've heard claims that they're more reliable. I have has 4 out of 4 reliable 1911's with internal extractors. This would be new to me, but not a deal breaker.

They also have a lifetime warranty. And I couldn't be happier with my Sig P238 (not counted as one of the 4 1911's)

I cannot expand any farther on the my brother-in-law's Sig issues other than to say he returned them to the dealer who "could find nothing wrong", whether he returned them to Sig, I do not know. So please, do not let this dissuade you from purchasing another Sig. As you say, lifetime warranty is for a lifetime. Hopefully, you will never have to take advantage of the warranty.
