Have you shot the G19 yet? I think that should be your more deciding factor. Personally I like the way the sr9c shoots better than the G19. The felt recoil and the grip just feel much better to me.

I’ve owned G-17 and G-19 pistols and shot them quite a bit but have put more rounds through different G-22, G-23 and G-27 pistols. I purchased an SR9 out of curiosity so that I could see how it compared to the Glock. Size wise the SR9 is closer to the G-19 than the G-17 but it has a different grip angle that is misleading. The SR9 out of the box has a superior trigger break much nicer than any factory Glock I have owned or handled. So far I am very pleased with the one I purchased and intend to continue putting it through its paces.

I love love my SR9C, wouldn't ever consider trading it. One of the more accurate pistols I've shot and the trigger break is really nice compared to others.

If you do decide to get a Glock, get a .40 cal and get an after market barrel to shoot 9mm. Then you have the option to shoot both. You can also get a barrel to shoot .357 Sig. You can't do this if you get the gun in 9mm.

I realize that the accessories don't make the gun, but it sure helps when .the gun starts looking stale and I'd like to spruce it up. I likethe thought of the 33 round mag from Glock.
I've held the G23 that my friend has and it has a nice feel, I don't notice the grip angle at all. I haven't shot it, but I will try to before I purchase anything.
The reason I bought it is because I was stubborn and wanted to go home with a gun that day.
I've been to Galloway Precision and emailed the owner about the +6 extension and it wontbe out for some time.
I've been considering the G26 for it's small form and it would be easier to conceal then the G19. I like the Glock's look and design.
I might put it for sale on here. Still not sure...

But I have bought a gun on a whim.

I read that Glock uses Polygonal rifled barrels and that there are advantages and disadvantages to them. Does this sway anyone toward or away from Glock?
I like the SR9C. It fits my hand well, has never failed and it's accurate. But, there is so much talk about Glock in terms of function and accuracy, that I have not ruled one out in the future.

Id rather have me SR9 than any Glock or Beretta that I have tried. I like the feel of the gun

I shot quite a few pistols(glock, M&P, XP, Baretta) before choosing the Ruger SR9C. The Ruger felt best in my hand and had the best stock trigger of the bunch. They are all reliable weapons, I like the Rugers better.

Well, no one ever pays any attention to my opinions, but here goes. I never sell one gun to buy another. If I like a new gun, I save up and buy it. Over the years I have found that sometimes I think I am going to like a second gun better than the first, and then it turns out not to be so. Plus, guys I know who "churn" their guns, frequently buying and selling, seem to end up spending more money and owning fewer guns than I do. |

I would not normally say this cause I don't like bashing other peoples guns but you did asked us to pursued you. My personal opinion is Glocks are just plain ugly. There is no style to them even with a bunch of bolt one accessories. I can on and on about what I don't like about glocks but I wont.
Another reason is some people find there first gun purchase to be special and many years down the road you may regret selling it. I traded my first gun purchase on a gun that I really had to have I am glad I made the trade but I do kind of miss it. I can longer say this was my first hand gun ever. I would just save your money and get the Glock when you have the $$$
