| Gun withdrawals HAH!
I am new to this hobby and all ready suffering gun withdrawals LOL!...Sent my new SR9 to Ruger for service last Monday...and ordered a 10/22 about a week and a half ago and picking it up Monday. In between then I was buying rifle accessories and looking to buy another firearm. I come to the conclusion I need a backup just in case one firearm is out of commission so I don't suffer through this withdrawal. Anyone ever suffered the same fate? HAHAHHA!

Oh yeah - you can't have too many...... Like any good hobby there's lots of gizmos, gadgets, accessories, etc. to keep your mind fluttering about too. It's very addictive. And lots of fun!

It's like crisps, beer or chocolate, try stopping at one.

Living most of my life in CA I did without guns after I left LE. After I moved to AZ I decided to get "a" gun. I bought an SA XDm45. I was in love with that gun but somehow managed to misplace it in my closet by hiding it too well. About 4 weeks passed and I was bereft of my new pride and joy. I reported it stolen since it was a gun but didn't claim it on my insurance as I had a $1,000 deductible. So, I bought another one exactly like it. About a week or two afterwards I found the first one. I kept them both for a couple of weeks then sold the 2nd one for $50 less than I paid for it. But the bug of owning multiple guns had bit and it staggers me to think how much I've spent since then.
I called the SO and told them I'd found it. From the reaction I got I guess I'm not the only one.

Went to the range and broke in my new 10/22 ran 200 rounds through it without issue. Got home and SR9 was back in my hands from Ruger will go again to fire this puppy. WOOO! Ruger sent it back with trigger reset bar and striker assembly replaced. Also said might be mag issue but didn't send in the mags DOH. Well I will see tomorrow since I have 2 new mags as well.

I am up to my eyeballs with this "addiction".
It sneaks up on you one shot, one gun at a time. Very gradually until you're hooked then it's "Katie bar the door"...
And what makes it "worser" is owning Rugers!
They are the worst element of this addiction because they multiply. |

The firearms addiction is odd. I have other firearms to shoot, but for some reason it's always the one that's out of commission that I want to shoot. It's because I can't that I want to.
Now a recommendation for a backup for your SR9...
^Ruger P95. IMO, the best new handgun value on the market. A blued one can be had for $299. Once broken in, they are accurate, reliable, and easy to maintain.
