I swapped out my stock white dot sights because they just were no working well for my old eyes. When I swapped in Williams Fire Sights on my MKIII Hunter I saw a quick improvement in my sight picture for my eyes. So I started looking for something similar for my SR1911. Too bad that Williams says they can't use their rear sight of the SR1911......who knows why.
So I kept looking and decided to try a set from Fusion Firearms as Bob Serva there was very helpful with info. They had a nice fixed rear fiber optic and many choices in front fiber optics. The set with a set of spare fibers came to about $78 shipped.
They arrived today and while the rear wasn't a straight drop in it only took a little work to get it into the Ruger.......looks pretty close to stock. The front sight slid right in, actually a bit loose but I just peened a couple of dimples in the bottom side with a sharp punch and used red locktite.
