When is he gonna get those parts in stock already?!? I mean how long can it possibly take a for a machine shop to produce some trigger bars and hammers??

Ruger doesn't make anything else in this size in a semi auto. Many wish they would make a small 9MM that doesn't have a mile long trigger pull.
Then ruger cuts availablity of the parts so we can get the trigger done.
I guess Ruger can't stand that someone can fix their engineering fail on the trigger setup. So their only option is to make the parts unavailable and call them factory fitted now.

I really wanted to like the LC9. But just didn't warm up to it. I sold it and bought a Kahr PM9. I liked it so well I bought a CW45.

I to wanted the LC9 but like many others the trigger kept me from purchasing one. After a lot of looking and trying others my two 9 MM choices came down to the SR9C and then the Shield due to its compactness. I now have both and the Shield is also pretty accurate as is the SR9C. Trigger pull is great on both of them as well.

I also think the M&P Shield is a great option, and have been reading a lot about it. It's getting lots of positive reviews. I've just been waiting for it to become California compliant and available in CA.

The loooooooong trigger pull is challenge. I found by watching the hammer I could guage when I was at the point of firing. When the strike face of the hammer on my LC9 was level with the bottom of the slide, it would fire with just a little squeeze.

I was wondering what the people that like the way it shoots are putting through theirs. I had a little better results with 115 grain Hornady's than I have been getting out of 124 grain Berry's this weekend.

LC9 is not a target pistol, but it is capable of hitting intended target at self defense distances and is great to CC, i carry one every day in warm weather and it really comfortable to carry. They are a completely reliable and well liked by many people, but everyone has different personal preferences and if you are unhappy with the LC9 you should find some other option that you are happy with as there are may quality 9mm compacts on the market.

Went to LGS and he ordered a shield for me. He also has had problems firing the LC9. Wish I could work it out but after almost a year it is time to throw in the towel. Still have the LCP and the rifles. Ruger for the most part does make a good product. LC9 was just not for me.

I bought a new Beretta Nano and a Kahr CM9, I really like them but I'm having a hard time getting use to the long trigger pull. If I can ever master that I think I have a couple great guns. For those looking for a compact carry gun in 9mm which they are calling a pocket gun checkout the Beretta Nano. I'm impressed the way mine has functioned.

Have decieded to keep the LC9 as a house gun. Wife can handle gun well and it will work for a emergency. Still getting the Shield. Will switch out with CW9 from week to week. Maybe in time I will be able to master the trigger. So the LC9 lives for another day!

I gave my son my LC9 because I told him I was thinking about selling it. He knows that I've willed my gun collection to my kids and the discussion went downhill from there.
I wasn't quite ready to give up on my LC9, but he wanted it and in factory form, I didn't.
If your wife's hands are smaller than yours, you may just pick it for her and the Shield for you. I've not shot the Shield, but from what I've heard the trigger is quite different. And people with smaller hands tend to like the LC9s.
I think Eric Galloway is eventually going to get the LC9 problem figured out. Right now he's having supply problems from his vendors. If I still had the LC9, I'd try his new trigger/hammer mod kit.

Galloway Precision will be selling the LC9 trigger kits around the end of September 2012. Ruger cut off the sales of LC9 hammers and trigger bars back around the end of March 2012. They are now listed as factory installed only. Since Galloway purchased the stock LC9 hammers and trigger bars, and modified both for the trigger kits, they ran out of parts when Ruger stopped selling them.
Galloway now has his own custom made trigger bars in stock. However they are still waiting on the custom made hammers. The kits need both parts to work. So keep checking the Galloway Precision website at: Ruger SR9 SR40 SR9c SR40c, Galloway Precision Home
or chack the last pages of the Ruger Forum LC9 trigger pull thread at: http://rugerforum.net/ruger-pistols/...r-pull-41.html
