been eyeballing the lcp and lc9, really the lc9 cuz im not sold on the 380 cartridge...i just want some trigger comparisons...say between a baby glock or a lcr or my p95...three completely different guns but if i could get some "sort of feels like this" or "is smoother than that" type of answers along with the recoil that would be grand...cheers

You could go for more of a rocket with the LCR-357. Or, if your pockets are really big, the .454 Alaskan....... |

I suggest you go to an indoor range that rents & try 1.
I have an LCP & LC9 & had a Glock for 21 years till I sold it to my son. The triggers do not compare at all, not even close.
Two totally different animals.
For a light, compact 9mm designed for CC, I totally love my LC9. My trigger is very smooth & predictable & I can fire it very well for a CCW. It's not a range gun.

Compared to an SR9, or M&P9 . . . the LCP's trigger will remind you of an old DA revolver.
I have no experience with the LC9.

Of the ones you mentioned, I would go with a Glock 26. I don't like Glocks but they are very good guns. I know it's a bit pricey but my .380 carry is a Sig P238. With the Glock you'll have a 9mm. That being said, in a close range battle and good ammo, that little .380 is just as deadly as the 9mm.

+1 on renting one and trying it out.
When I was in the market for a CC weapon, I was looking at the LC9. Then I rented one. A couple of rounds was all I needed to know I had to look elsewhere. Ended up with the SR9c. I love the trigger. The recoil is very manageable for it's size. I have no issues concealing the SR9c.
It all boils down to your personal preferences. Many here love their LC9s. The only way you will know is to try one.

If you have the extra money try the SR9c. The gun shoots great and with the small 10rd mag it's good for carry. Then you can put in the full length 17rd mag for the larger gun feel. Lil of the action of both worlds |

I didn't mention the SR9c because it wasn't in your list, but like others have said, the SR9c is GREAT! If there's anyway you can try one, I think you'll be hooked. I've got a pretty good little collection, but the SR9c is one of my very favorites. My other 9's are a Beretta 92FS, XDm9c 3.8 and I used to have an LC9 until I gave to my son a couple of months ago.
Another good way to shop, is to go onto YouTube and check out the gun reviews. Some of my favorites are Hickok45, Nutnfancy, Sootch00, CandRreviews, GunBlast and GunWebSites.
Don't overlook the Glock 26. Even though I and several others just don't like Glocks, that particular model might wind up on my wishlist someday. I saw one at a gun show a couple of weeks ago and I was impressed.
Along with that, there's the new Sig P938. CandRreviews gave it a bad rap. I think it was because either they had a bad gun or they weren't shooting it correctly.
If you haven't looked at it, the new XDs .45 is out now and it's a sweetie! Springfield Armory will soon be becoming out with 9 and 40 versions.
The M&P Shield is also a very nice 9mm. The Kimber Solo Carry is a nice (and expensive) alternative.
But, no matter what, try and figure out what is most important to you and if you have to spend a few more bucks to get the one you want, it's worth it. After you've had it a few years you won't care what you spent.

I have an LC9 with the Galloway trigger kit. My pull legnth is half that of a stock LC9 and the break point is moved forward to the middle of the trigger guard as opposed to the back of the trigger guard with the stock gun.
However I now also own a M&P Shield 40. Size wise the Shield is 1/8 inch taller, 1/8 inch longer, 1/16 inch thicker, and weighs 3 ounces more. Sounds like the LC9 is the winner. No way because the Shield has a much better trigger. The stock Shield's trigger is so much better than my Galloway Modified LC9's trigger. Plus I have added a Apex trigger kit to my Shield. I have a 1/16 inch pull, 3/32 inch reset, and 4.25 pounds of trigger pull to break. That is about 1/3 less than the best you can get after modifying the LC9. The Shield's bore axis sits 3/16 lower than that of the LC9. which results in less felt recoil.
