| Tell me about the SR1911 Trigger
I am not very experienced with pistols nor do I have any complaints about the trigger. Is the stock trigger setup in need of replacement. I'm not interested in a trigger job to change the pull force, 4.5lbs is good for an amature recreation shooter in my book. Is worth me buying after market parts or does this gun come with good trigger parts? Thanks in advance

No, I seen no point in messing with the trigger on the SR1911 unless you happen to get an unusually bad one and need to take out some creep or lighten the pull. As far a s durability and lifespan, the trigger would probably be the last thing to go on the SR. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. In fact, one of the reasons I picked the SR1911 over other brands and models in that general price range was for the excellent trigger.

+1 on North country gal. I couldn't believe how good my trigger was. Only thing I'm touching is the grips, maybe. Pure individualization/esthetic motive.

+2 here. I find the stock trigger to be quite nice. Not too light or heavy. Very predictable. There's nothing like a 1911 trigger.

I have a Wilson Custom Colt Combat Commander and the trigger on the Ruger sr1911 is nearly equal to the sharp break an ease of pull as the Wilson. I don't plan to have anything done to the Ruger 1911 action.

the SR1911 has a great trigger on it , No need to change a thing it will only get better. Mine out of the box was 4 1/2lb, after a good cleaning and 500 rounds it's at 4 1/4lb and very smooth. Feels the same as my buddys $1400 Kimber that's had a trigger job @ 3 3/4lb.

Thanks everyone I was considering because you want the best when your life or pride at the range ;-) is in question. Sounds like the trigger is already there and before long I plan to have many 1911's to compare

Mine was just a tad over 5# after several hundred shots. That's a little heavy for me. The grip safety was also rattling. Yesterday I installed a Wilson sear spring. The only adjustment I made was to add a little more to the grip safety. The results were impressive. No more rattle and the trigger pull is now 3.5-3.7#. I was thinking about a C&S trigger kit but not now.

I couldn't give you a specific figure, but mine was great right out of the box. A tiny hitch in the git-along, but that worked itself out. Great pistol, no complaints.

After 600 rounds, my trigger is still 6.5 pounds. It is the only thing I don't like about this pistol. A trip to a gunsmith is in its future.

My buddy that checked mine has a really nice expensive gauge. He checked it about a dozen times @ 4.25. If it was mine I think I would look into a trigger job..?

The trigger on my SR1911 is on par with any others I have owned or shot.
