Last fall I saw my very first SR1911 at a gun show in San Antonio and it was priced at $850. I thought that was a little absurd until I saw someone actually buy it for that price. Well yesterday I went to a gun show in Midland, TX and spotted this one. Talk about over the top optimism.

Put about 75 rounds thru it and really like everything about it.

Paid $629.99 plus tax for mine about 6 months ago, and after about 600 rounds, all i can say, is that Ruger really got it right when they designed this one. It is a great pistol for a great price.

now i know i got a great deal on mine $599.00
650 rounds down range so far,and a lot more to come.
maybe we cant see the real fine print on the tag
that,you get two for that price.
i would like to see the tags on his other guns.
maybe he could be talked down to 1399 out the door?
the real sad thing is someone may pay it.

Gun show here in Raleigh in July guy had one for $950. I told him that was way over MSRP and he said "GO BUY ONE SOMEWHERE ELSE". Anyway, my LGS now has them and they are going for $750 now. I will get one later but already have 3 Kimber 1911's so not in any rush but I will get one of those Rugers. Just wish they had them with Match Type adjustable sights......

Got both of my Ruger SR1011's for $669 each. Great shooting, beautiful well made pistols, also have a 70 series 1911 Colt, one Colt S.S. Officer Model, one compact 12 shot Ported Springfield V10 and a 1911a1 Norinco. Just added a NIB Marlin Camp 45 Carbine to the group. Love the .45!

wow. I have written how much I like mine in several threads here that asked for opinions. I think it is best bang for the buck. But that is at $649 I paid. I'd even say into the 700 range would still be a good deal. But double that? No friggin way. $1400 is into a different snack bracket.
