I love of mine. Just bought second one a few months ago $669.00 and having to sell! Don't work at a paper mill! Closing Sept. 30th! Thanks Canada and China! I will never buy a newspaper again as long as I live! 40 year dedicated "American" employee / Vietnam Vet.

I got on three local waiting lists in October. I found one shortly thereafter on line (love it) and I'm sorry to say I never called back to the local stores. I got my first "your SR1911 is here" call in April, and got my 2nd call this week. So they're still a little behind in production I guess.

I visited the local Academy toy store yesterday and casually asked if they were able to get the SR1911 yet... The reply was that they had sold several and had one in stock. I asked to see it but it was in the safe 'on hold'. The manager was called and I got to see and touch one. The conversation went on and I found out two more were in the area.
I placed a hold on the nearest one and can now hold it any time I wish.
The price is $699.00, which is a little on the high side, but I am anticipating a run on guns after the conventions and upcoming election so I purchased while I can... The old bird in hand story...
It appears Ruger is filling the 1911 pipeline but it is still not full.
Today we go to the back pasture for a little test...

I thought SR1911 are being sold NIB on GunBroker every day. They are generally MSRP or a bit over that, plus fees and shipping but nowhere near 1400. So folks would rather wait months than pay list + ship and fees??
