For those in Texas still looking for an SR1911, as of this evening (Thursday) the ACADEMY in Beaumont, TX (northbound access road of Hwy 69 at Hwy 105) has SR1011's in stock for $699.
I bought my SR1911 early this year at an Austin police supply store at the Ruger LE price, and I absolutely love it!
I qualified with it in March, and carry it as my duty weapon in a DeSantis holster that is explicitly for "cocked and locked".
