| SR 1911 mag well modification
Would like to go with a larger magazine well for my new SR 1911. Does anyone make a drop in style mag well that does not take a gun smith to fit it. Anyone done this modification and how is the fit and finish? Thanks.

I have the S&A rounded extended mag well and it was a drop in on mine... I love it and it adds just enough to the back to fit my hand perfect and makes mag swaps alot faster. You can see it under SR1911 pic thread in the gallery section

I've been thinking of doing this - probably the best (first) mod for USPSA matches. But I do carry my SR1911 often instead of my usual BHP. Any opinions on how bad the magwell would be IWB?

No problem... They only add about 1/4" to the bottom which to me is still very easy to conceal. Those are the one I have the finish is a great match as well check out the pics and you can see the way the finishes match up together. It makes all the difference if you have bigger hands if not the S&A straight back is just like the original just adds the 1/4" to the bottom but I liked the arched on better
