SR 40 owners

hey guys that have SR40s. just goin over the basics of the pistol , it appears to have a spring action when i push down on the slide , then springs back up . {at the barrel} is this normal , seems to move more than my other rugers , cept my p 89 its loose as a goose .

If you are talking about when you lock the slide to the rear, the barrel cambers up and is loose, then yes...this is normal.

+1 on what Gorilla said...pefectly normal operation. 1500+ rounds through mine and not a single problem. Clean it, shoot it, repeat!

Are you talking about that there's some "play" if you push down on the slide. In other words pushing down to the frame?
