LC9 Front sight way off UPDATE.

So I picked up a LC9 in June of this year and I absolutely love it. It shoots flawlessly, recoil is not terrible, and it fits anywhere. So i was at the range today with a buddy and my first 50 rounds were spot on. The last 50 I was all over the freaking paper. I could not understand why for the life of me. Finished off my last couple of rounds, went and bought the wife a new SR22, and called it a day. So I got home and tore everything down to clean and noticed the front sight was almost falling off the slide but it was tight on there. I could not for the life of me re-center it. Called Ruger and they said they had a bad batch of slides go out. Mine also did not have a "pined front sight". Ruger said they will have a whole new Slide out to me in about 5-7days. Such a bummer. Love everything about this gun except for the sight now. Hopefully the new slide wont have this problem. Was supposed to go to the range with the wife on friday to break in the SR22. Guess it'll be a range gun for me... Any one seen a front sight this far off???

LC9 front sight

Srry to hear about that, no issues with mine. You may be interested to know of the LC9 upgrades that Galloway Precision offers for it. I have installed all available and you wouldn't believe the positive difference! Check it out.

I actually just broke down the rest of the pistol entirely. Sending the hammer and the bar out tomorrow. Do you have the RTK tactical trigger? How do you like it? Im getting everything from him except the LCI delete due to the "out of stock"

Yep, my front sight drifts. I use a brass punch to drift it back. Annoying. I plan on calling them.

LC-9,Not really a gun to Aim,Its more for Pointing at target ! But that site is so far out in left field you would have to close your eyes to hit anything, sorry for your troubles.

I know its not supposed to be any pro target pistol but when the sights were aligned with one another it was actually a pretty decent shot. I'm hoping i get an email from ruger today with a tracking number.

Mine did exactly the same thing. With each successive shot the sight would move from far left to far right and back.
I contacted CS through their Web site and was back in business within two weeks.

It's been a great pistol ever since.

Awesome. I am really hoping to get the same results. I talked to eric today at GP and he actually gave me a military discount. Sent him my hammer and trigger bar and ordered the ss guide rod, 20lbs recoil spring, and rtk trigger. Pretty excited to put it all back together when it all comes back.

Do they pin the sight down then? If they do, would it be difficult to remove the pin if you ever wanted to change the sights?

They do pin the sight. Thats a good question. Im not sure about being able to change the sight. But on another not I got some traction grips for the lc9 while its down and getting the GP stuff. Just for fun I got the green "zombie" grips. I might even get the green laserlyte and turn this into a full zombie killer. haha. I do enjoy green and black together.

Awesome. For now I sit here twiddeling my thumbs and watch the wife get to shoot her Sr22... Hopefully the galloway stuff comes in the same time the slide gets here. Will the new slide need to be sighted in again? The old one shot dead on...for a hundred and twenty rounds...

Hope the wife's SR22 holds up. I had a take down lever failure yesterday on mine. Slide flew off. Waiting to call Ruger tomorrow. I do love it and my LC9, when they are working.

Since there is a lot of GP questions already in here, does anyone have the recoil spring? I had an upgraded recoil spring on a Glock I bought used, I'm not sure if I cared for it that much. Any reviews on this one?
