| SR9c vs SR9 opinions wanted
I'm going to get either another SR9c or get an SR9. Gun shop is going to check on getting an SR9 in maybe this week so I can compare it to the 9c. Looking for opinions from those of you who have experience with both models.

I just recently purchased a Ruger SR9. I was carrying a XD45 Service. After 500 rounds through my SR9, I decided it was trustworthy and I really like the way it conceals. It's much thinner that I was expecting and very lightweight fully loaded.
I think either one would be a great choice.

Gun Fun,
I have an SR40, but it's so close to the SR9 that my input is valid.
I first wanted the SR40c, but it just didn't feel right in my hand. The SR40 just fit better.
Aside from grip and barrel length, the SR40 and SR40c were the same gun.
Be absolutely certain to handle both the SR9 and the SR9c. Buy the one that feels more natural in your hand.

You'll know which is better for you soon as you handle them. Same way comparing them to similar brands. Personally, the SR9C with large mag suits me best.

my preference is for the full size model. not that much bigger than the src, still easily concealed. i own SR9, SR40, and have given three SR9's as gifts so far. all are outstanding, reliable, accurate and zero issues. prefer my SR40 as go to over a lot of more expensive weapons.

Unless you definitely want a compact, get whichever feels better in your hand. I have an SR9 with almost 4000 rounds and the only malfunctions Ive seen are about half a dozen from limp wristing (new or weaker shooters). The gun has been great

Yep, if I needed to buy another SR9/9c, I would get the full size SR9. The SR9c is a bit easier to cc but the SR9 feels better in my hand. I have both, BTW.

I chose the SR9 based on fit and I just like a full size look over the compact. They are both great guns but when it comes to CC I tend to go smaller caliber pocket pistol style.

The SR9c is actually my wife's ad she prefers it and I prefer my SR9 fir range shooting. Our range rents several types of guns and I recommend you try that if possible to see which you like better. I don't like the feel of the 10 rnd mag at all on the SR9c and I don't like the feel of the 17 rnd extended mad with the slip on boot either. I prefer the handgrip to feel like one solid piece, but YMMV.

sr9c all the way...when I purchased mine it came with a 10 round mag (conceals real nice) and a 17 round mag which makes it pretty much the same size as the sr9 for home defense

I'm in CA, so SR9c made more sense.

I love my SR 40 but would rather have the 40c just because I really love my 9c. If i want the full size feel just switch mags. The best of both worlds.

I have shot the SR9 plenty and own the 9c. I personally like the 9c more and as everyone said it is more versatile if you want to CC. If I had to choose and already had a 9c, I'd probably get something different than what I already had.
