SR1911 sight cut question
I recently tried to have a set of novak fiber optic sights intsalled on my sr1911 but the gunsmith said they werent the right cut. I thought the sr1911 is advertised with novak sights so why wont the novak sights I ordered fit? The gunsmith was a gander mtn gunsmith and he claims to have called novak and novak said they make a special cut just for ruger? Im getting conflicting stories everywhere I look help please

first off welcome to the forum. I'd contact Ruger tec support by email or phone and check with them. I've gotten so pretty fast answers from them both ways. I know that my SR1911 has novak sights on it. Special cut ????

Interesting. shopruger.com lists NovakŪ fiber optic sights being available for the SR1911. I would assume those are standard cuts.
