| SR1911's getting easier to find?
I've noticed that 3 different gun shops that I've been to lately have all gotten SR1911's in stock now. I wonder if this means Ruger is finally catching up on them. Anybody else starting to see them more often?

I don't get to gunshops that often. Just from reading on this and other forums they are getting allot easier to come by and at better prices. I hope for all the scapers that still have them they end up eating them.

Still rare around here. I've been on a waiting list since last August and I have only seen two SR1911's in person one of which was the GS owners and not for sale.

Yeah, my lgs can get them now. He has gotten three or four so far. He sells them as soon as he sets them out, too. I bought one from him and one from Impact guns.[IMG] [/IMG]

I've seen a few around here. I was told that they only stay in the shop for a day or two.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them going for $525-550 new in a year. Unless Vladimir Obama gets re-elected.

That isn't the case right now with the SR1911 since it is high demand, but that can change later depending on the market.

My new favorite gun shop/indoor range/training center still has 1 left over from 'Ruger Days" on 6/1 & 6/2.
He sold 6 I believe at $699+tax. I opted for the SR9c, but the 1911 is on my list.

I've noticed more Rugers starting to show up in our LGSs lately. But I still haven't seen the 1911 or SP101 in .22.

Local gun shop has Ruger reps. at the store the last couple of days. They had 50 ea. SR 1911 Thursday morning and by 5 pm they had 8 left. I bought one (or should I say my wife did for fathers day), are you ready for this $599 ea. Heading to the range in the AM and test out my new "toy". |

I've noticed them showing up more around here. 2 gun shops had them and 1 dealer at the gun show had a few. Prices were still high though. $799 for the gun shop ones and $725 for the gun show one.

The LGS around here sells them for $629 New. I have a number of 1911 so I will wait to get one when they start coming on the used market.

They must be getting more common. I only see four that are >$799 on GunBroker now and twenty that are less. Not long ago there were very few under $800 listed there.
