| SR1911, Finally!
Picked up my SR1911 this afternoon! I got to check it out last Monday, the day it was received by my FFL, but I couldn't pick it up until today because of a silly state law. I picked it up on my way home from work, ran a quick patch thru the barrel when I got home, grabbed some rounds and headed straight to the range. I had about a half hour to shoot before the range closed for the day. I put 50 rounds down range rather hastily. I'm not exactly a marksman but I can see with a little work and taking my time I may get do okay with this gun (in other words, the gun is definitely more accurate than I am.) The first 50 rounds thru this gun were without issue.

congrats, nice to hear about another person with this great gun. Mine just passed the one year mark last week, got it 3 May 11, two days after release. Passed over the 6000 round mark at a monthly USPSA match yesterday. Still loving this gun, hope you enjoy as much as I have.

Does anyone know why the SR1911 has one magazine in 7 rounds and one in 8?

Couldn't believe the SR1911 was in the ad. I got home last night, ran over there today, and brought one home. I still can't believe it.

Makes not much sense because you can buy 8 round that are flush, although some say reliability is less when 8 are crammed into length of magwell. I added several 8 round flush style from Kimber and Chip, no issues.
