| New Ruger SR40
New to the forum so whats up to everyone. Just got my new Ruger SR40, it was between that and the P345, shot them both and honestly loved the Sr40 way better. Put 500 round through it already with zero malfunctions. Great Great gun. Also, put in the ghost ultimate trigger and it shoots like a dream, way better than my Sig 45. Here's a pic, but got the slide and barrel sent away right now to get mirror finish polishing done, will post a pic once its back and looking as fantastic as i anticipate. Anybody have any other advice or cool modifications I can add feel free to let me know.

Glad you like your Ruger. I am running mine bone stock and have no plans to alter them. What is the ghost ultimate trigger all about? I have zero experience replacing parts.

It's basically just a new trigger bar, super easy to install. The ghost ultimate will take down your trigger pull weight to 3.5 pounds and makes the plinking way more responsive. It's basically the closest you can get to a competition trigger without needing to have anything measured and fitted. It was only $20 and I'm really glad i got it, the gun is way more responsive and fires even smother than it did when i got it

| I love my SR 40
I got mine in September. I love shooting it. I am looking for defense ammo. Have any of you use Hornaday Critical Defense in your SR 40? How did it work?

I just picked up a SR9c this week and feel in love. I only have about 350 rounds through it up to now. I think I read some where that a gun is not truly broken in till 500 round. Think ill do some reading on these ghost triggers.

I'm happy that you like your SR40. I got mine yesterday and shot it this morning. I only put 100 rounds through it. (I cleaned and preped it yesterday after I got home). The recoil was exactly as advertised. Very Mild. The trigger broke clean and reset pretty quick. I was sure happy that Ii veiwed the video on the SR40. I made sure that I did take up that shooting stance. All I can say is the pistol almost stood still and I never lost sight of the front sight. Glad your are happy. I am not sure but I will check into the untimate trigger thing. Takke care and enjoy shooting. Ghost

Hello forum,
I have had my sr 40 since January got about 400 rounds through it so far. It shoots very smooth already, but have doing so research on the Ghost Ultimate. It sounds like something that could make it even smoother. For $20 bucks I figured what the hell.
Any opinions????

Any opinions???? | I thought about that for mine for awhile but after shooting, it just seems to get better and better. I've read about some issues and figure that if it aint broke, don't fix it. JMO

nice glad it's shootin great for ya
i have the sr40c
I'm still struggling a bit with accuracy but i think that i have a lot to do with that.
I intend to get the smooth it kit with the ghost trigger bar and polished striker indicator springs ... #4 i think
A lot of people get the metal guide rod too If you got the stainless slide i think you almost need it just to make it look nice.
you can get tritium night sights, extra grip cover sticky things, a compact light or laser to mount on the rail
