Ruger/Prescott Cust Service - Didn't See THIS Coming (Issue Resolved)This is a discussion on Ruger/Prescott Cust Service - Didn't See THIS Coming (Issue Resolved) within the Ruger Pistols forums, part of the Pistol & Revolver Forum category; I'm wondering if the employees are being rushed to get things done because of high demand and it's hurting the QC?... |

But I think you would need to check the bore diameter first. If it's the diameter that the bottom of the grooves would be - great. If it's the diameter that the top of the lands would be - not so great.

@tjwillard - the diameter now is what the inside of the rifling grooves would/should be. Adding the rifling will remove material from the inside of the barrel resulting in the final bore diameter of (hopefully) around 0.355"
No, I won't be sending any rounds downrange in this condition, even though I am just as curious as you as to how it would actually group.

One more good argument for inspection and cleaning prior to first shot.

Ridge1976 is absolutely correct. Send it back and let the Chairman know what's going on. Good luck!

Nice.
If this ever gets in the news, the anti gunners would have a field day with this.

Greetings,
DO NOT SHOOT THAT GUN!!! If the bore is small, it could cause unsafe pressures to the gun and shooter.
