I had a love/hate relationship with mine. 1st 200 rounds or so hated it. Practiced the trigger pull, was reliable (no malfunctions through 500 rounds), and is comfortable for CCW.

Great handgun for a CCW, light, thin, smooth. Shooting at the range takes some practice because of the long trigger pull. Reliable as can be.
With modifications the trigger pull can be greatly improved.

Love mine, bought it May 5 last year and it has performed flawlessly for 600 rounds. Removed the MSD after 300 rounds and dry fired about 500 times, now the trigger pull is really smooth and it is quite accurate. With a little practice you can stage the trigger an get real accuracy for a gun it's size and it is a delight to carry almost anywhere. I am completely happy with mine, it eats any ammo and for the price it can't be beat.

+1 on that. My trigger was the same at first, it just took some shooting. I am up to about 900 rounds and lots of dry-fire drills. Works great for me. Very accurate & reliable!

I only have a little over 100 rounds through it so far. It has performed perfectly. It's an awesome 9mm gun for concealed carry. I actually like all the safety features. Use them or don't use them. The trigger is like my LCP, but a little smoother. I imagine it will get better with more rounds through it. I have no regrets buying it.

I really like mine. Over 400 rounds without one malfunction, stoppage or anything breaking.
Only problem I had was it shot really low out of the box due to an improper front sight. Ruger fixed it. It has shot POA ever since. I carry it very often, and it's great for that purpose. Small, light & thin. Yes the trigger takes some getting used to but I figured it out after about 100 rounds.
It seems to me that with the LC9, you either get a great one like mine, or you get a lemon that wont run and falls apart.

I was looking at one with the built in laser, but found my index finger came up short of the activation button and I have at least average length fingers.

I have the LCP, LC9 and SR9C as my carry options and carry the LC9

I've owned mine for two months and have over 1100 rounds through it. I have a LOVE/hate relationship with mine as well.
It will eat anything. I only buy the cheapest store bought ammo I can find. Not a single feed, fire, or eject malfunction yet.
The front sight is getting a bit loose and I may have to send it in for (pinning).
The long DA trigger really bothered me at first. But I have begun dry firing practice and of course have put a lot of rounds through it. The trigger has smoothed out a bit, I have become far more experienced with it, and practice has made my shooting accuracy more than acceptable for SD.
I was drawn to the pistol initially for size and the ability to comfortably CC. For that purpose it has been outstanding. Generally front pocket carry with a Blackhawk Size 4 pocket holster. The holster perfectly cradles the LC with the Crimson Trace laser I installed.
Cleaning is easy. I can field strip without a tool. Between the number of rounds and regular cleaning after every shooting the takedown gate will come down with just a fingernail and the takedown pin falls out under gravity with just a bit of back and forth on the slide rail.
I am happy with mine.

If I were to make a recommendation to anyone, it would be to give Ruger more time if it is convenient for them to do so. It is obvious there have been quality issues on this pistol and they are trying to get them fixed for their customers. The pistols produced in another 6 months will probably be improved.

Enjoying mine after 400 rounds or so. Mine shot quite low, too, but it was me. My first DAO gun and this is a loooong trigger. When I put it on a bench it was right on. Installed a laser (Laserlyte, cheap & doesn't require a special holster) which makes dry fire trigger practice much more effective. I'm starting to get the hang of it. Eats all ammo, even my (pretty dirty) reloads. It disappears pretty quick into my pocket with my Nemesis holster.

Only have a little over 200 rounds through mine so far, but I really like it. Trigger pull's a little long, especially compared to my SIG 226 SRT, but I plan on doing the Galloway trigger mod at some point soon. Will probably also swap out the factory spring for the slightly heavier Galloway spring at the same time.
I have the Lasermax. I felt the same way as agksimon about the far forward placement of the switch, but I now find that I turn it on with my left thumb and slide my hand back to complete the grip. This way I'm not stabbing around with my trigger finger.
Have shot several types of ammo without issue.
I actually like the numerous safety features
Ordered a Theis holster for it.

LOVE my LC9! I've had it for three months and put about 500 flawless rounds through it.
The trigger was a little gritty at first, but smoothed out around 150 rounds. Recoil is very manageable.
I can consistently get 4" groups freehand at seven yards. It has become my primary CCW.
