Value of Used SR9c?

Hello all-

I have had my SR9c since September, when I had bought it new. I have put 1,200 rounds through it (I have a log with each and every round fired, what kind of ammo used, comments, etc), and cosmetically the thing still looks brand new.

I am really wanting to get an SR40c, and a good friend of mine is very interested in buying my SR9c for his wife. So, I figured maybe I will sell my SR9c and use the cash for an SR40c. My only problem is I have no idea what the going resale value is of my gun.

Like I said, the gun is cosmetically flawless. It had a few issues during break in, but has had over 1,000 flawless rounds since. I have the box, manual, everything that came with the gun. I also have one extra 10 round flush fit magazine. So, what would you guys estimate would be a good price for this gun? I don't think I would sell it for any less than $300.

I bought my wifes SR9C used from lgs. I paid $350.00 for the original equipment and a leather holster. The pistol looked to be fired only a few times but there is no way to tell.

I would say $350 is a good starting point.Check the local shops to see if your price is higher or lower for a used one.

I sold mine recently for $375 - paid $425 + tax. Approx. 600 rounds through it. Replaced with SR40c.

Dont forget the buyer is saving any background check fees and tax. 350 would be a fair price, since if you bought a used one here for 350 from a LGS there would be 30.00 in tax plus 10.00 background check, so its really a 390.00 gun.

I am sure I will. I am really, really tempted to get another Glock. But if I could find a way to get an SR40c for my SR9c and end up not paying much for it then I will be a happy guy. I want something other than 9mm, and .40S&W is something I want (especially since I have read the SR40c recoil is not horrible).

I will ask $350 for it and see how that goes. I bought it for $420 and then after tax and everything it was about $450.

Background check fee?????
I used to live in Mass so I understand sales tax.
Now I live in NH(no sales tax) I go to a gun shop I see a gun I like, look at the price on the tag,the guy makes a call I wait for a call back and leave with a gun for what the price on the tag said,no more.
No fee's or any other BS.

Well in Minnesota we do not have background check fees, but we do have a 7.5% sales tax.

And we here in Wisconsin have a 48 hour waiting period, so we have to make a second trip to the gun store to pick up a pistol.

$10,000.00?

I agree. I love shooting it and it is really comfortable to carry.

Well I decided if I am going to sell it (I will decide this weekend if I can let my baby go) I will be selling it at $360. It's about $100 cheaper than buying one locally new. My good friend decided on the spot when I told him the price that he wants it, so I will probably let it go to him since I will still be able to shoot it and such.

Now, I just need to figure out what I want to replace it with. SR40c? Another Glock? Hmmmmmmm so many options.

I figure if I sell it and buy a new SR40c, that will take away the edge of the sadness I will feel getting rid of this gun. It was my first pistol and I really like it, so I'm assuming I will love the SR40c as well.

I just sold my used, one year old SR9c with a holster for $375. I used that money to soften the blow of the new Kimber Custom II Stainless 9mm 1911 I got .
