I received a Galloway kit for my SR40 for Christmas. Is there any video to help with installation instructions. Also I can't seem to remove the old plunger to replace as well. Help is appreciated! :)

There are videos on our YouTube channel also. Make sure you have the striker removed and then drive out the extractor pin 1/8 punch fits. Be aware the extractor is under pressure and once it is removed the blocker will be free to go flying so be mindful. Swap it for the new SS blocker and reduced power spring. If you have any other issues let mecknow directly.

Galloway Precision

Hey wwjoed,

There is some great info out there for the conversions, check out a couple to start to acquaint yourself more with the trigger and slide area. Just take your time. It will be worth it in the end.

I have a Ghost Ultimate, and several of Galloway's refinements on the 9c and the 40. Just a little fine-tuning. I am quite satisfied with the Galloway and Ghost products, they are a great combination. Over 2000 rounds and over 1000 rounds, respectively, downrange with no issues, commercial ammo. I like the feel and actions of the pistols, smooth functioning.

Good luck,

Happy holidays,

I got everything installed last night except for the polished bar inside the striker. I broke my punch getting that pin out, which lodged in the pin and took about 30 minutes to extract. I will have to go buy a new 1/16 punch and attempt to do it again. Even without that part installed, it is amazing the difference in the trigger pull. Was my kit also supposed to come with the large spring that goes in the striker with the bar? I thought I saw that on the site, but maybe not. I recieved kit #4 I believe, (I ended up buying the Ultimate trigger bar before I recieved this kit as a gilft.)

Depends on which Galloway #4 kit you ordered, the Smooth-it kit, or the CCW kit.

YMMV,

It doesn't look like the heavier striker spring is included in the smooth it kit.

Ruger SR9, Galloway Precision Asheville, NC SR9c and SR40c parts

Heck, I just bought two striker springs and pins from Galloway. It's all good. I have installed several Galloway parts on my SR pistols. Eric's parts are top quality.

Good luck,
