Question LC9 Rear Sights

Noticed my rear sights became very loose to the point I could move them back and forth with my fingers. Going to the range today to sight it back in and was wondering at what distance I should start at. I have been practicing at 21 ft. with pretty good results, but I don't know what distance the sights are set at from Ruger. Any help?

Do they have an elevation adjustment? Windage works at any range. The longer the better for fine tuning.

Mine is still on order so I haven't seen it yet, but I though we just had windage adjustment.

Just windage. My rear sights also flopped around on my first trip to the range. No big deal when you have the correct Allen wrench in your kit.

Smile

Use a very good allen wrench. you sure don"t want to round the set screw

I just had the same problem with my LC9 rear sight coming loose at the range with my wife shooting for the first time. It didn't do much for her confidence and sight picture instruction until I figured out what was going on.

Any Allen wrench recommendations?

If it continues, do this.
