| SR1911 spent casing
On my spent casings they all come out with a slight indentation on the lip of the casing. It's like part of the casing gets slightly flattened. Does anybody else have this happen or is this a non issue. My PX4 .45 ejects casings without this issue.

First, welcome to the forum dkals.
What you are seeing is a flattened spot caused by the fired casing striking the slide upon exiting the opening in the slide.
It is not a real problem (even for reloaders as the ding comes right out) as long as the gun runs OK and seems to be throwing the spent casing 3 - 4 feet away.
Some 1911's (of all manufactures) will do it with any ammo, some do it with only certain loads (difference in exit velocity and energy). Yours may do it only with some types of ammo, but not with others.
If I understand correctly, the scallop cut behind the slide cutout was added to eliminate or reduce this "problem".

I agree. You have a interesting point about how your gun runs but I don't think it presents a problem.
My AR puts a dent in the side of all its cases. It's either the port or the brass deflector dinging it on the way buy.
Remember; those case aren't just tossed away, they are ejected with considerable force. My P345 used to toss them almost 8 feet.

Welcome from the Heart of Texas. Good question and info to keep in mind when I get a SR1911.

My 1911GI dents the mouth of cases also, just use care when reloading and it should be fine. The deprimer takes some of it out, then the belling finishes it and they are fine. Sometimes one is pretty bad, in those cases I put a pen or pencil in the case and push some of the dent out.

My SR1911 does it also.
