Nothing on Ruger's site yet: Ruger Safety Announcements

Most recent one appears to be from 2009 involving the LCP

I thought so. My dad was trying to tell me that they were recalled. Didn't make sense with the dates on the recall list. I thought that when you registered with Ruger they would send tech bulletins to your email address, as well. Thanks for the reply.

Ruger, unlike other companies, does notify its customers of defects or safety issues. Ruger's CS is better than most.

I just checked Rugers web site and the last two recalls on Ruger pistols have to do with accidental discharges (LCP, SR9). Unless the problems with the LC9 have anything to do with accidental discharge, I don't think you'll see a recall. All manufacturers have some problems with their new releases, and I think Ruger has been very responsive to correcting the problems. Unfortunately, (in my opinion), Ruger has gotten the rep of putting out new products that are expected to have problems.
