i have read both good and bad things about the triggers on the new SR line of handguns. i see that there is a 3.5 lb ghost trigger connector for it. does it help? i like having a light crisp trigger pull. i searched and didnt find much besides the ghost trigger connector.

I've got both the SR9c and the SR40c. The SR9c has an amazing trigger, the best outside of my SR1911 and my yet to be fired Ed Brown. The SR40c had some grit from the factory in it. I think it's the same setup as the SR9c, but it felt awful the first time at the range and that was after I cleaned it. Hickok45 also complained about the gritty trigger of the SR40c.

My advice is to clean it really good before your shoot it, paying special attention to the trigger. I think the manual says not to dry fire it with the slide off it, but I do it to both my SR9c and my SR40c to make sure they're clean and lubricated sufficiently. Just make sure the trigger is not in the fired position and the mag connector is down before putting the slide back on.

I've got about 200 rounds through the SR40c now and it's really turning into a pleasure to shoot.

The SR40 trigger is good right out of the box. It isn't as good as the 9c though. I can't comment on the 40c . I have never fired one. If you want to give the SR40 the best DAO trigger you will ever feel,put the Galloway Precision "Smooth It" kit in it. You can now get them with the Ghost Ultimate or Rocket trigger reset bars. Cost isn't bad. I also chose to install the stainless guide rod and recoil spring assembly. All told,I had somewhere around 90 bucks in the modifications. A small price to pay for an absolute work of art. Eric Galloway is an excelent hand holder if you need help doing the work. Galloway Precision makes a fine product. I promise, you will not be disappointed with this set up.

also the difference between the ultimate and rocker trigger bars are that the rocket has the TCT which would give you a better pull?

Not sure about that, but the SR9c just feels better to me. Comparing the exploded views of the two, they look to be the same. I haven't compared part numbers, though.

Agreed. Boomer said it best. That kind of question is best answered straight from the horse's mouth. I chose the Ultimate simply because I didn't want to deal with all of the fitting required to install the Rocket. The Ultimate is a true "drop in" part.

i just got the gun and the trigger actually seems pretty good, not bad at all.

I just picked up a SR40c blackened model and was wondering who makes aftermarket parts for them. I see the galloway one listed I have owed glocks before and this trigger feels different to me maybe because I'm used to xd's and other ruger triggers. Thanks

Galloway is the best for any of the Ruger SR series and LC9 series of the Rugers.

I've heard nothing but good things about Galloway. So I ordered the stainless plunger and spring and they look amazing and were easy to install. I'm thinking about getting the ghost trigger. I have a stainless Sr9c.
