| My New P95 locked and broke...
Hey guys... I don't know if you've heard this before but here it goes...
While shooting at the range, probably after ~50 rounds (Winchester USA FMJ 115gr), I started getting, FTEs... After the third one, I thought something was wrong with the ejector. After a few more rounds the pistol "locked" (or got stuck) in an "intermediate position". I was able to pull the slide back a bit, but not enough to lock it open with the slide stop. I attempted disassembling the pistol but had no success, I could only remove the slide stop... Got to my house and with good lighting and patience I was able to pull the ejector down via the magazine port and noticed that something had come loose. specifically the sear pivot pin, and consequently the out-of-place sear was locking the slide in the "intermediate position". After carefully prying the sear with a paper clip, I was finally able to separate the slide assembly from the frame... So what caused the sear to come out of place? The sear pivot pin's seat in the frame had broken!!! See pics below... What should I do??? Is this covered by Ruger's warranty??? Any ideas, suggestions??? I'm very very frustrated and disappointed with this obvious design flaw...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you call ruger Monday and tell them exactly what happened. With me, they emailed all the forms to ship "next day by air" and all I did was box it up and send it in.
My gun was repaired/shipped (free)back to my door, good as new.
* Be sure to give a written, detailed explanation of what happen with the gun, when you ship it! |

Get it back to Ruger quickly. They will fix it.
They don't pay shipping if the gun was mfg. over a year ago.
(The wages of procrastination.)

Hmmm...never have seen that type of failure with the P95. Not a design flaw IMO but rather one of those things that happen rarely. Ruger will take care of you and you'll be shooting it again with no problems soon.

Like 9mm, I've never seen that particular failure in a P95 grip frame. I would call Ruger CS ASAP (they'll get you taken care of)

Only issue I had with a previous P95 I had was the hammer pivot pin kept backing out of the frame. You could rack the slide and when the hammer moved the pin would creep out of the side of the polymer frame on the right side. Sent it back to Ruger and they fixed it. Ruger will fix you up, always have !
