I don't much care for wood grips and I like the magazines to fit flush with the bottom. The target is 8 rounds at 7 yards. I didn't have the paper target up against anything solid is why it looks kind of funky.

My LGS orders guns in small quantities so he doesn't get a multi-gun discount and has to pay shipping. As such, I had to pay $699 + 7% sales tax, almost $750 OTD. | Iowegan. Mine looks just like yours, but I do like the black grips.

When they decided to sell the SR1911 with those nice wood panels, I knew that was the 1911 for me, it just looks 'expensive'. Now I see it with the black panels and it looks 'tough'. This thread is making it hard on me having to wait for my LGS to get mine in.
Well, maybe I'll have to get a few goodies from shopruger in the mean time. It'll be my first .45, I've already got 500 rounds waiting to be fired.

New to this forum, and came specifically because I ordered a Ruger SR1911 a week or so ago, and paid $590, plus tax.

Your target looks good. A backing on the target would make the holes look better. I'm getting itchy I want my SR1911.
