I had ordered the rubber grips and the extra 7 round magazine about the same time I ordered the gun. I don't much care for wood grips and I like the magazines to fit flush with the bottom. The target is 8 rounds at 7 yards. I didn't have the paper target up against anything solid is why it looks kind of funky.

My LGS orders guns in small quantities so he doesn't get a multi-gun discount and has to pay shipping. As such, I had to pay $699 + 7% sales tax, almost $750 OTD.

Iowegan. Mine looks just like yours, but I do like the black grips.

Where did you order them from. Looks sharp.

crracer 712 is an unknown quantity at this point
When they decided to sell the SR1911 with those nice wood panels, I knew that was the 1911 for me, it just looks 'expensive'. Now I see it with the black panels and it looks 'tough'. This thread is making it hard on me having to wait for my LGS to get mine in.

Well, maybe I'll have to get a few goodies from shopruger in the mean time. It'll be my first .45, I've already got 500 rounds waiting to be fired.

New to this forum, and came specifically because I ordered a Ruger SR1911 a week or so ago, and paid $590, plus tax.

Thanks, I'm going to order some also but I want to wait until I have the gun in my hand. Your target looks good. A backing on the target would make the holes look better. I'm getting itchy I want my SR1911.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll like it here and get allot of knowledge. That was a good price you got on your SR1911.
