Awards Showcase

Don't get rid of your P345. I had 2 and traded/sold them. I regretted it and just bought another one used. It is the only .45 I have with a rail. It's going to get a light and will become my permanent night stand gun. It shoots very well, by the way.

You don't need to justify multiple .45s. I have 4 1911s and the P345. I have a Ruger SR1911 on order. I NEED every single one of them.

Late addition to the thread but I started first with the SR1911 and now want the
P345. I feel like my 1911 is for looking pretty and target. I hate the thought of scratches and holster wear on the 1911. wouldnt matter much if TSHTF though but P345 for now is just what I need as a hunting and get dirty and scratch and not care alternative.

ah,,, is having two .45's considered 'a problem'?

That's not good.

It it worse at three and looking for number 4?

One for each hand! I think you should keep it UNLESS you really need the extra money to pay off your gun. If not, hold onto it, sell it when you really need to. Its not going to lose value if it looks the same between now and if you sell it 10 years from now. Theres still Ruger P89s for sale at my LGS used for $300 and I still thought about buying it

I thought federal law required all gun owners to own more than one 45.You can never have to many guns in the same caliber. I've sold and traded guns that turned out as a big regret.

It hurts to talk about it LOL.

I bought an XDm45 4.5" a couple of years ago. I still have it and love it. But I bought an SR1911 when they first came out. The XDm was my first .45 and my SR1911 was my first 1911. I now have 3 more 1911's, 2 full sized and 1 3". So, yeah I've got 5 .45's. I don't see a problem with that. I buy .45ACP in bulk, so that helps to keep the cost down.

I wish ruger would make a polymer 1911. I LIKE a light 45 to carry.
Kyo if you want a light 1911 get a Kimber pro carry II with an Aluminum frame. It's a lot lighter then the SR1911. I have both.

I read the title of the thread, I clicked on it already knowing my answer.

If you can find an SR1911 the only advice I have is, GET IT!
