Why i wont be buying the SR1911

i may be wrong - but didnt i read somewhere that the plunger tube is integral on this weapon. that just sucks - i cant tell you how many i have had to replace because they were dented etc.

my question for ruger is - "why in the hell would you deviate from a proven design". even taurus new better than that.

Probably because you are the only one that has had that problem.

C-mon Pat, don't you know that's a big deal? Me neither, I'm always looking for a reason to buy a new pistol and since Ruger won't give me a new SP101 pistol in .22, I reckon I'll suffice myself with this new/old 1911.

Just put my name on the "wish list" at my local shop. We'll see how long it takes for Ruger to start shipping.

Again, how is this part damaged? None of mine have ever been dented? Just how Rambo rough do you have to be with a 1911? I would think you have other issues if you damage the plunger tube.
