Maybe Eric needs to include a new pin as part of the upgrade. A little steep to pay shipping for a pin. I think I will be looking at the local hardware store!

OK i just put the hammer kit in lc9 and a couple of things i found one donot remove the stell roll pin that is below the plastic pin on the rear of the frame, that one took me about 30 min to get back in number 2 when removing the roll pin for the hammer push it out with a punch from the left and keep that punch in the frame only pull it out enough to remove the hammer, that one cost me almost a hour to get the little plunger back in place so the lock pin can be installed. I had no trouble with the pin in the hammer for the spring just be sure to use the correct size punch.

I watched the Galloway video on utube, those are the 2 things he said don't do or u are in trouble. Probably should watch it enough times to memorize the operations. I did it today to remove the mag disconnect. Went smooth as butter, now I have the confidence to do the trigger once I receive it.

You guys that have received your hammer kit, how did it arrive? UPS? FedEx? USPS? I'm hoping mine arrives on Black Friday, but I don't know if anyone's delivering on those days or not. I ordered mine the morning of 11/18 and got in on the original batch but haven't received it yet.
Thanks

I'm still waiting for mine as well, but being down in FLA I figure I need to add an extra day. I ordered mine just minutes after it was posted here.

Got my hammer on Wednesday. Regarding the install I used a 1/16 punch to drive out the split roll pin from the hammer (pin holding hammer spring). Came out clean and reused. Hole size is 3/32 for the pin but my 3/32 punch was a little to tight to use. When reinstalling I did not do as Eric showed keeping the punch in place and pushing the hammer pivot pin in which pushes the punch out. I just aligned the blocker lever and hammer to the hole and pushed the pivot pin in. At the opposite side at the bottom of the ejector is a spring loaded pin. I used a a jewelers screwdriver to lift that pin up and finished pushing the pivot pin in fully.
After installing the new hammer and dry firing I could feel a slight catch when pulling the hammer back by hand with the slide removed. I removed the new hammer and put the original one back in, checked and found the same catch. I then put the new hammer back in again. Used the same 1/16 split roll pin each time with no problem. It got easier each time, down to 4-5 minutes for total install. Found the following dimentions in inches:
Free play was 5/16 new 1/2
Pull before stack was 11/16 new 7/16
Stack was 3/16 new 1/8 or little less
total pull less free play was 3/4 new 1/2
First reset was 1/2 new 7/16
Second reset was 15/16 new 11/16
Trigger pull to stack was 6 1/2 lb new 5 1/2 to 6 lb
Stack pull was 2 lb new 3 1/2 lb Update see below
Highest pull prior to break was 8 1/2 lb new 9 lb Update see below
I have a trigger pull bar which I attach to a pull scale. I attach a small vice to my desktop, then clamp a piece of wood about the size of the magazine in it. The LC9 then is mounted into the wood to securely hold it in place. The scale is accurate to 1/2 pound, but most important is that it accurately reproduces pull weights time after time. May not be as accurate as the factory measurements but it establishes a baseline to compare changes.
Of all the above before and after measurements, I was not happy that the stack pulling pressure increased from 2 to 3 1/2 pounds. Can only guess the new hammer changed the pivot point a little to add the extra 1 1/2 pounds of pull near the end of the stroke. The blocker lever spring and firing pin blocker spring remain unchanged. The stack lenght of pull was reduced a little more than 1/16 and any reduction in length is an improvement. Pull update 11-29-2011:
I found the upper right side of the new hammer was rubbing against the frame insert just before break. I removed the hammer and found a burr near the top. I ground off .007 inch on the right side of the new hammer. Once reinstalled it no longer was touching the frame insert. I then rechecked the pull and found the stack was back to the original 2 pounds. This then lowered total pull to 71/2 to 8 lbs.

We ship everything US Postal Service Priority. Gernerally it takes 3 days anywhere in the US. The holiday has put a kink in our shipping. Actually had a package arrive torn open and missing the hammer!
Glad to hear some have it and we have a detailed input from a member.
Your results are about what we got except the increase in pull. The system has less travel so the pull is mechanically reduced due to not expanding the hammer spring as much. All our test guns lost around a pound pull on our scale. The stacking is a constant till we release our springs. Either way about a 1/2 inch of travel is gone and everyone seems to be pleased with it thus far. It's good to hear your overall pleased and I think with the addition of our springs and the new transfer bar you'll be really happy with your LC. I appreciate your input Rob, email me I want you to try out a couple things for me as a beta.
I'm listening about the hammer roll pin. I'll source some and be including them with the kits from here out. All our test guns didn't have them staked in so it didn't occur to me that it might be an issue.
I got the hopefully better video up of the reassembly of the LC9 on our youtube channel.
Hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving with family and friends.
Keep the input coming and we will keep refining the products and product lines.
Eric

Thanks Eric. Good news on USPS shipping. It should arrive today. I have my tools waiting. I practiced the detail strip already, removing the mag /trigger disconnect. The new video looks good, clears up the hammer pin part of the install. I will report back after I have it in, and look forward to the springs and transfer bar upgrade.

| LC9 with laser
Has anyone bought or used the LC9 with the stock laser? I am debating if it is worth the extra money. Also concerned about finding a holster that will fit because the laser extends out to almost the end of the barrel.
