Found this posted in the revolver section, and wanted to ask about it. Seemed best to do so in the pistol section.
I want to learn and avoid doing anything that could cause damage or premature wear to a gun. Is one supposed to flick the slide release while holding the slide and gently moving it forward instead?
Thanks to all who answer to help me keep guns in the best condition possible.
What is the proper way to close the slide on a semi-auto? (Obviously, doesn't apply in this example as he shouldn't have been playing with the action at all as per the sign.) I'm more used to revolvers and had never knew this was the wrong way to close a slide.
