Crimson trace on P89

Finally saved up enough money for a laser for my P89. Before I lay down the bucks for one, I would like to hear from anyone how they like them, and if the laser gets in the way at the top of the grip. Pictures really don't show that much. Thanks to all.

Yes on my P89

check out this site for "cheaper CT lasers, OK
Crimson Trace LG-389 Rubber Overmold Laser Grips, Dual-Side Activation

Yes I have one on my P89 and my Bersa 380. If I could afford them I would have them on my .two 40's also. I have Lasermax mini and Laserlyte V2 rail lasers on these and they are NO WAY as good as the grip laser IMHO!
I have put about 250 rds. thru the 89 and what I like about the CT grip is I can practice point and shoot and have some idea of where I am aiming with the laser. You do have one very slight problem with the CT and the 89. The pin on the right hand side of the 89 is "hit" by the laser beam. I just checked mine and it shows up on the pin but does not seem to affect the aim of the laser.
Also somewhat easier to find holsters for the grip type laser PLUS CT has free batteries when you register with them!

The link above has blemished CT lasers for some guns, not all BUT has some of the best prices and fast delivery I found.

[NO affilaition with the above site, just happy customer]

If the beam is just high lighted on the take down pin I can live with that, as long as it won't affect the dot. Another question, does your trigger finger get in the way of the beam at times? I mean along the finger from the middle joint to the knuckle? My wife has the CT on her SP101, and like you say, it is a valuable training tool also. I'll be carrying the 89 in a Bianchi shadow II holster, and I believe it will fit just fine, with possibly a slight trim on the retention strap. I have found that Shooters Resource has the best prices on CT. Thanks for your help, appreciate it!

The laser does highlight the takedown pin but I believe it is just residual intensity that comes off the initial beam. If that makes any sense. It does not seem to affect the beam. I DO have a problem with my finger getting in the way on the Ruger P series when using the CTC. If your finger is on the trigger in a proper shooting position there is no issue. But if your finger is straight and indexed along the slide in a proper not shooting position OR loosely just out or in the trigger guard it can block the beam. I have large hands which probably does not help but to answer your question yes it can happen. I may post some pics if I can figure it out to show what I'm talking about.

Al, I understand what you are saying. I have big hands too, thus why I carry the 89 for CC. BillyBob' That price beats Shooters Resource, was shipping free? I'm going to be ordering it here next week. Ya all helped in my decision. Thanks for the feed-back.

I was looking @ a Kimber 45 with CTC and had a chance to buy a Sig 228. Liked the Sig and decided I would but laser on it......found the Trophy site. Shipping a little extra but I liked the sights so well I added CTC on a S&W Sigma for $150.00 approx and the SiG for $220. approx. Both are turned on the same way.......shoot couple days a week.
Anyway I decided to put them on the Ruger. Biggest difference is that the Ruger has a turn on/off switch which I like if I want to shoot with sights.

Anyway.....3 sights and one new gun cost me just a little more than what the dealer first asked for the Kimber

I also found that to save ammo I had a gs friend that had a laser bore sight and he adjusted the sights to match the bore very quickly. He didn't charge me anything to do this and it was dead on
