I'm sure there is a thread about this somewhere, but I've searched and can't find any. I've been wanting a KP90TH, now that Ruger has discontinued the P line I had better hurry up. I have been talking to a couple of friends that have asked why a .45 and not a.40? The KP944TH looks to be the identical thing as the KP90TH other than the clip capacity. So now I look to you folks for answers. The main thing it will be used for is CCW. Is .40 enough, is the .45 too much?

WELL OVER A DECADE AGO......

I was gonna go the P90 route.....
Next to it was a P91......the .40caliber version.
I bought the P91....and glad I did.
Got lucky(many .40 cal versions,were not accurate), accurrate as hell...
Customized the shit outta it...now my favorite house gun.

That said....
And have ZERO HISTORY with the P944........

The P90....Know it's history WAY MORE better than JOE AVERAGE.

There is a reason why the P90 has a GREAT HISTORY........
RUGER brought in an uber skilled gunsmith to design it's barrel!

IT PAID OFF!

The standard P90 Built for accuracy,and durability.....way past it's cost.

Not saying Every P90 kicks ass....most told me good, a few said sucked.....
But more than a few told me, if spend the effort to hunt down THE ammo for THE GUN.......ASS KICKING accurate !

Posted this many times...think the P90 is one of the best handguns RUGER ever made!

I have a P-944 DC 40 S&W. It is a solid performer, feeds perfect and is fairly accurate. Got lucky with the trigger .... very smooth and reasonably light. It's the only P-gun I own because I don't like the DA first, SA second system, rather I prefer the 1911 or CZ-75/85 system.

Big Jerry, Too bad we aren't closer .... I'd let you run a few mags through my 944 and see what you think. I've owned a few P-90s and think they are the most accurate of any of the Ruger P-guns. It really boils down to which one you can get your hands on at a decent price.
