SR9 Sight issue

I've got an SR9 that I'm trying to get dialed in.

I took it to the range the other day and noted every round was going high and left at 9-10 yards. I had the on site gun smith adjust the rear sight to shift the rounds to the right and went back and unloaded another magazine. Same thing. Rinse and repeat a few more times.

Still after 200 rounds, my shots were headed left of my aim point.

I would consider myself a very, very experiences shooter, former military LE. There were only two guys working at the gun store/range when I was there the other day, so they couldn't pull someone off the counter to fire a few rounds for me. I thought to do this so I could see if it was me. However, I don't think that's the case because ALL of my rounds were impacting in the same spot and weren't scattered like you'd expect if your hand was shaking or you had your finger pad in the wrong spot.

Has anybody experienced that with this particular pistol? I really want to love this pistol, but it's been a nightmare to get it zeroed in. If I can't figure it out, I may send it back to Ruger, try again, and if that doesn't work, I'm going to my second favorite company Springfield.

We haven't noticed any such issues with our SR9.

Springfield M&P? S&W M&P Shield is compact and will shoot and handle different than a FS 9E or SR9.

I have same problem. Adjusted rear sight for windage--not much difference. I changed sights too--not much difference, adjusted front sight--not much difference.
I now use Kentucky Windage to get it to get close to bullseye. I know someone with a Glock that has a similar problem.
I have had others fire mine and had hit the bullseye. I'm thinking that there is a secret grip style that will be correct this problem

Let us know when you can get a second shooter to try it out. I'm curious to
Know if you have a mechanical issue with the sights or a technique issue to be addressed.

It took me a while before I noticed my SR9 front sight was not quite centered on the slide.

My 9E with fixed sights is right on out of the box. As above verify frt. sight alilgnment etc. I have a Taurus pt-111 with adj. rear sight that just ended up putting down all the way and as above use Kentucky wind-age. Front sight on that appears to be centered. Good luck.

Recently bought an SR9 & it was accurate right out of the box. I'm severely right handed & was able to shoot one handed left handed at my gongs at 25yds!

I have fired a few different SR9 or SR9c's. I have noticed all to be pretty much spot on except that they tend to need a 6 oclock hold for me.
Sometimes a gun's grip just doesn't fit your hand. I hope that is not the case with yours, but it does happen. I tend to be okay with all but the smallest guns; BUT I recently picked up a Ruger American Compact and it wanted to shoot left on me until I went to the largest grip module. Having said that, I would consider turning the grip around on your SR9 and see if that makes a difference.

My SR9 drills the bullseye with cheap range ammo. If reversing the backstrap does not help, a Hogue grip sleeve may be a good idea. I have huge hands, and a grip sleeve made a night-and-day difference for me on my SR.

What size would you say your hands are? If you have medium or large hands, the thin grip profile of the SR may need some tweaking to work for you
