Ruger American compact keeps jamming

Hey folks I'm new to the forum and recently purchased a brand new Ruger American pistol compact 9mm. Love this baby but had a couple of problems. First time I got it I shot a 100 rounds and had one malfunction. The shell didn't pop out right. I thought no problem still new and breaking it in. Next time I shot it, i shot 200 rounds. Only one malfunction, same thing. I thought again still new gun breaking it in. Cleaned it, lubed it. Two weeks later (which was yesterday)I shot it again. And here when it gets even worst. First 12 rounds it did the same thing and I was planning on shooting 200 rounds and man did it malfunction. It did it about 7 times. And yes I'm new but I wasn't limp wristing at all. I had buddy of mines that been shooting since he was 10. And he shot it and it did the same thing. I called customer service but they are closed. Gotta wait till Monday. I heard there CS was excellent so I'm not worried that they are gonna brush off the situation. But man I love this gun and Ruger in all . I just want it to be functional and ready for any type of situation. And oh I recently just went to get my concealment permit can't wait till my hard copy come in !

welcome to the forum, what kind of ammo are you shooting? I have heard that some of the steel or aluminum cased stuff some of the RAP don't especially like. I never shoot anything but brass case, I clean after each range session and I have over a thousand rounds in 5 months and not one failure. and as for Ruger customer service, they are top notch, they will get you fixed. take care and keep your powder dry

How did this turn out? I am sure Ruger took care of you. I also have the compact 9mm and have nothing bad to say about it except make sure you clean out under the firing control unit.

The only negative I have with my RAP Compact - that is some serious recoil spring!

It's a wonderful gun!

OP, when you cleaned and lubed the pistol did you make any excess lube was wiped off. It appears that the ejection port/chamber might be gummed up.

Let's try that again. Make sure the chamber/ejection port is not gummed up from lube.
