I love the gun and I shoot it really well. It is supposed to be modular so I took the fire control out and...It gernaded. Lots of springs and rods and cussing and drinking. Took all my patience to figure out how tab a fit into slot b but got it back together. I dont think you can call a gun truly modular if it explodes when it comes out of the frame. Seems like you would want to make everything captive if it was meant to be taken out. I'm not ruling out human error but it seemed awful easy to make this thing come apart. Anyone else with this issue? (Still love shooting the gun)

I watched some videos and read up first before removing the fire control on my RAPc 9mm, but still had some learning to go through doing it for the first time. If I am careful with the trigger bar, take down bar and the sear spring it usually goes pretty smooth.

I too broke mine down fully following a youtube. Didn't have the first minutes trouble with it. I do just wonder if it is truly modular since I have heard the compact and full size modules are not identical. That is troublesome.

I to have broke mine down on several occasions for cleaning with absolutely no issues. Now, the first time I really paid attention to everything. But now I've had it apart so many times that it's just became a routine cleaning step.

I'm under the impression that the "modularity" idea has gone out the window with Ruger, unfortunately. Word is the FCU isn't actually portable between the versions and Ruger has yet to release barrel/frame/whatever kits. So at this point I'm not expecting that to happen.

Still like my RAP45, but I'm treating it as a stand alone firearm, not Ruger's P320. Too bad.

Too bad to here they are not planning on adding to the modularity of this pistol. I have the RAP compact 9mm. Cleaning guns a week ago I actually held my American 9mm barrel up to my SR1911 barrel and realized they were the same size on the outer diameter. I was hoping that there might eventually be a .45 barrel made to fit this frame (or even a .40)
