P90 Magazine Steel or Plastic Follower?

I have read about and seen the mark that an 8rd mag leaves on the frame of P90. Is this anything to be concerned about or is it normal wear marks? It's hard to find mag with the plastic follower and I haven't heard good things about Pro Mag.

When I first saw that mark from my P 90 follower I called Ruger.
The tech told me it was not going to cause any problems with the pistol.
Have never been able to find mags with other that the double follower.
And never anything other that the metal follower mags.

Aqualung will become famous soon enough
When I got my P90TH, I bought two extra mags. They all had the metal followers.

When I saw the notch in my frame, I called Ruger and they told me the same thing about not affecting anything.

However, I then replaced all springa and followers with Wilson Combat ones. I had to cut off a coil or so off each spring, but they fit well. After changing them out, I didn't get any more "frame dig".

I think i got them at Brownells or Midway.

I'll see if I can find the thread where I asked for help from Iowegan on the subject...

Here's one of the two threads...pulled from the foggy archives:

7 round mag into 8 round mag

Here's one about a similar follower issue and Iowegan's advice to me...

Ejection of last loaded round - P90 8-round mags

Good luck.

Thanks for the link. I called Ruger and got same response. It just doesn't seem right to let it wear into frame. Gonna try the Wilson kit.
