Just Got a 9E

Just purchased a 9E to use for home defense. Got a great price as I work for a LGS. Fired 200 rounds thru it this weekend without any problems. Fired point to aim! Very happy with purchase.

Now strip it down remove the striker assembly and clean all the oil grease out of the spring and run this part dry

When the person at the LGS buys a 9E it must be a good gun.

Enjoy.

Take it apart and polish the trigger bar/trigger bar reset contact areas to really smooth out the pull on the trigger. I installed the Galloway "smooth it" kit on mine that included the polished plunger, polished stainless striker indicator and the new trigger bar spring. I also sanded the mold parting line inside the grip frame that houses the trigger bar to smooth it up and help stop the gritty feel.

I put over 500 rounds of Blazer brass, Wolf poly, and HST 124gr +P through mine Monday. (I just got it) and am rather pleased.

The trigger doesn't suck, and for a sub-300 dollar pistol, it REALLY doesn't suck.

I removed the magazine disconnect from mine during the first cleaning.

I bought one of the 9Es about a month ago, and really like it. It was on sale for $299 at a LGS, and with a veteran discount it totaled $304 I think, very nice.
