Who else has and loves the P345?

I absolutely LOVE mine. Had one and sold it. Instantly regretted it. TOld the guy I'd buy it back for $100 more than he paid. He wouldn't sell it to me.

Took me abut five years but I finally tracked a good one down last year and traded a Para Expert Commander for it, straight across. Guy probably thought he found a sucker, but that Para Expert was crap.

Between the P345 and the SR1911 CMD, I have all the .45 ACp pistols I'll ever need.

I'm pretty fond of them, my everyday carry is one and I've also got a Phoenix.

RP ... I would wholeheartedly agree. Despite the early "Click-no-bang" issue that got the P345 off to a rough start, after Ruger's design adjustment and the notice not to dryfire without the magazine in place, the P345 has turned out to be a fine pistol IMHO. Mine had 2 fail to feeds during the 1st 50 rounds (break in) and has been perfect in the thousands of rounds that followed

Thumbs up

I have one, it is on my LTC. I wish it had a better double action trigger pull but all in all it's a great carry gun.

Love mine, I can say I am not fond of the mag disconnect that keeps it from firing with the magazine out, (since I am accustomed to my older p series without it) but I do like it. The last P in a fine series of pistols. Its accurate, and never had an issue with it.

Mine was my primary EDC for about two years (06 - 08) and I still carry it on occasion for old time sake. It's primary gig these days is that of a nightstand gun with occasional trips to the range

Awards Showcase

I'm a fan also. It's the gun I used to qualify with for my CCL 10 years ago. I don't carry it anymore, but it has a StreamLight mounted and is my nightstand gun. I had a stainless decocker and wish I would have never let it go. I like the decockers best. My current one is blued with a safety.

I love mine. I traded a Taurus 1911 in .45 for it ... never looked back. I love the feel in my hand and love how it shoots. I think it's too bulky for me as an EDC but it is my bedside gun for sure.

They only made 500 of the Phoenix models and rarely show up for sale, just keep your eyes out and don't pay too much. Its a great collector item but so far the resale value is not too high, this could change in the future but I'm not worried about that. Really like the 345 and pick them as edc over alot of other handguns I have. I've seen people carrying guns that cost over a grand, but you have to realize that if you have to use yours in self defense it probably will be confiscated until you are cleared of any wrongdoing. While in evidence they tend to not be taken care of as you would and the chance of not getting it back. Just something to think about.
