guide rod springs for lc9s

After recently purchasing a Ruger LC9s for my wife, she has indicated a desire for a lesser spring tension on the guide rod assembly, as she has some difficulty pulling the slide back. Is anyone aware of an outlet that can provide one? I have spent a fair amount of time looking, but even though this model has been out there for a fair amount of time, there doesn't seem to be interest in providing this option.

Galloway precision. I had problems with recoil rod assemblies flying apart. Ruger sent me 3 replacements. The Galloway fixed the problem by using a non captive set up.

This is a good video for people who have a tough time racking a slide.

Thanks, Eshooter

I have looked at the Galloway site. The kit they send requires an additional step with the striker spring, the nuts and bolts of which are ill-suited to my ability with arthritic fingers. In reading their description, it would also seem the spring would result in more force needed to 'rack the slide'. I may have been looking at the wrong page, but I think it was the correct one. SSguiderods.com were able to provide the solutions to my Walther, but apparently haven't done anything for the LC9s.

Hopefully, the video will fix the issue with some practice. Yes, the Galloway spring would be a little harder to pull, and yes, the striker spring needs to be used with it.

Let us know how she does.
