Factory Original Mags ... logo on floor plate?

I'm looking to buy a few extra mags for P series pistols. The question is this the adds say " factory original" but the Ruger logo is not on the end plate / floor plate. Did Ruger have the logo on all of their factory original mags?

Hmm, I have one for my p85mkII that appears as the original magazine, steel bottom, no flaming chicken. . All my other mags have the logo.

Be real careful with that, I am looking for some for my 22/45. I queried the seller (called Original equipment if his were manufactured by Ruger and he actually said no, but they were "better" ) I suspect the ones you are looking at are also knock offs, but they may be the real deal. Don't go with packaging that only looks similar to the original but not exactly.

Pre-94 mags for the P-89 had no Ruger markings on them.

I beleave mine do have ruger on them. mine are factory ten round mags.
I've also have a few Mec-Gar ten rounders in the mix.
Both for a Ruger p95 and Smith/Wesson 910s......they are great mags too and a lot easier to find then factory ones!

The factory 10-rounders, with the ugly plastic plug on the bottom, did not have the Ruger logo on them. Well, at least none of the ones I have examined have had it. That said, I just found another stainless 10-rounder on SW Forum, and I hope to be able to get it for $15. I like they way they look - which sorta kinda matches the P95 that it will be used with...

Tacky ... flaming chicken ... first time I ever heard that! How the hell are you? Hope all is well down in NC ...

I have "original mags" that just have the steel bottom (well I assume they are original). The ones I am looking at have the plastic floor plates ...

I bought a mag for a P series and it came in a Ruger package but the seller claims it was factory original but there was no logo on the end plate ... unfortunately there was no picture of the end plate in the posting. It will get field tested this Friday ...

I have looked at Mec-Gar but haven't bought one yet. The Pro Mag magazines I stay away from.

I have read that Mec-Gar make mags for a lot of the major gun makers. They are first class from what I've seen and as good as any factory ones.

*Yup, tried a p mag once.......................never again!

Im doing great, still kicking tires, and fighting fires.....

My own personal idea for the symbol, figured youd like it. If they have plastic floor plates, they should have the logo. All mine do. The original for my p85 has a metal bottom, it does not have the markings.

Last month I bought two 15 round, Ruger packaged magazines at the Brownell store in Grinnell, Iowa.
Both these had the Ruger lablel embossed on the bottom.
They do fit my P 89, 93, and 95.

Mec-Gar makes magazines for a lot of gun manufacturers. They are most likely the manufacturer of all the "Made in Italy" Ruger magazines.
